Solar is a long-term investment, so chances are that at some point during the life of your system you will need to have your panels removed and re-installed in order to replace your roof. This is a normal part of owning a solar system, and in many cases, all costs are covered under your homeowner’s insurance. We work with your insurance company and your roofer to coordinate the removal of your panels and the re-installation once your new roof has been installed. During the removal, we examine your equipment to ensure everything is in working order. If we find an issue, we work with your insurance company to cover the necessary costs to return your system to its original working order. Once the roof is completed, we clean the panels and re-install them as they were on your roof. The system is tested and then you’re back up and running. If there are any changes you want to make, that can be accommodated. It's also a great opportunity to add more panels if you would like to expand your system.
